Our Vision
To intimately experience and intentionally express the grace of Jesus Christ to our community, our country, and our world.
Our History
Ebenezer Baptist Church began in 1828 with twenty devoted members on the serene banks of Gum Creek and Flint River near Huheneins’ Ferry.
- May 9, 1828: The church was officially constituted by Brothers H. Dykes and Isaac Norris.
- 1860: Services were relocated to a new site.
- 1869: The church found its permanent home on land generously donated by Mr. William Slade, Sr.
For nearly two centuries, Ebenezer Baptist Church has stood as a beacon on the hill, shining the light of Christ to our local community and the farthest corners of the world.
